Application of Redispersible Polymer Powder in Joint Filling Mortar

Redispersible polymer latex powder products are water-soluble redispersible powders, which are divided into ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymers, vinyl acetate/tertiary ethylene carbonate copolymers, acrylic acid copolymers, etc., with polyvinyl alcohol as protective colloid. Due to the high binding capacity and unique properties of dispersible polymer powders

Adding dispersible polymer powder to the joint-filling mortar can improve its cohesion and flexibility.

The bonding mortar should have good adhesion to the base material to be bonded even if it is applied very thinly. Unmodified cement mortars generally do not bond well without pretreatment of the base.

The addition of redispersible latex powder can improve the adhesion. The saponification resistance of the redispersible latex powder can control the degree of adhesion of the mortar after contact with water and frost. The saponification-resistant polymer can be obtained by copolymerizing vinyl acetate and other suitable monomers. . Using ethylene as a non-saponifiable comonomer to manufacture ethylene-containing redispersible latex powders can meet all the requirements for latex powders in terms of aging resistance and hydrolysis resistance.
